- A wheel with broken spokes
- Removing a rusty cable & installing a new one
- Replacing a tube
- Installing handlebar wrap
- Removing, cleaning, and greasing bearings
However, the majority of service is included with a tune-up. Work done beyond the basic tune-up is based on a shop rate of $75 an hour.
What is a $35 quick tune? A normal tune-up takes about an hour. A quick tune is about 30 minutes, with wheels usually staying on the bike but still "trued", just not as accurately. Cleaning, lubing, and adjustments are less intense, but the bike is safe & ready to ride at the end.
